HORSE EVALUATION

THE EVALUATION

Before entering the program, each horse must go through an evaluation process.

The evaluation helps us understand the horse’s age, condition, temperament, and current stage of training, as well as the owner’s training goals.

The ranch program is limited to a small number of horses in training, so acceptance depends on the horse being compatible with our training approach and on stall availability.

Not all horses are accepted into the program.

HOW IT WORKS

The process usually takes place in three steps.

1. Initial request. The owner shares basic information about the horse, including age, background, and training goals.

2. Conversation. We review the information and, when necessary, have a brief conversation to better understand the horse and the owner’s expectations.

3. Horse evaluation. If appropriate, the horse is evaluated in person before confirming entry into the program.

Final acceptance depends on the horse’s condition, stage of training, compatibility with the program, and stall availability.
